Emily's Harry Potter Party- January 21/22, 2011

Emily & Sarah planned an amazing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire birthday party to celebrate Emily's 10th birthday.  They turned our house into Hogwarts and planned activities to recreate the tasks in the Tri-Wizard Tournament and the Yule Ball.  We had guests dressed as Hermione (Emily & Bailey), Bellatrix Lestrange (Caroline), and Mad-Eye Moody (Sarah).  Andrea came as Hermione, but then transfigured to Professor McGonagall.  I was Dobby, and Nana was Winky.  The dining room was transformed into the Great Hall.  I called in the troops (Aunt Kathe, Andrea and Nana) to serve as house elves, complete with dish towel costumes.  The girls had picked recipes from The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook. We had pumpkin juice, roast chicken, and all sorts of tasty treats.  After celebrating with a castle cake, the girls settled in to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  Andrea even came back the next morning to help cook breakfast for the girls.  The girls did a great job planning.  They should consider a future in party planning!
