First Day of School
Sarah starts her junior year. Emily starts her freshman year. Daniel starts first grade. Needless to say, Daniel is the only one who let me actually go in the school.

Daniel Goes to Preschool! September 5, 2012
Daniel started preschool this year at Hampden Christian School, and I can't express in words how much I love love love his school. His teacher Miss Roseanne is so kind and loving, setting such a great example for the children. He even gets lunch while he is at school. The school does monthly service projects, and even the two year old class is included in the service learning. I couldn't imagine a better place for him to go.

School Starts, Finally! August 31, 2011

| Getting ready to walk up the hill . . . |
Hurricane Irene knocked out power to many of the city's schools, including ours. School was cancelled Monday, and then Tuesday. Sometime Tuesday power was restored to the school (many schools were not so lucky), so we were all set for a Wednesday start. We had friends on the other side of the neighborhood who didn't get power back until Thursday night! We were never without power, thankfully.

And Then There Was One . . .
After an action-packed summer, the first day of school is here! The girls showered Daniel with kisses and love to get him through the 6 1/2 hours they'll be away from him. I am curious to see how he reacts to their absence.
We dropped Sarah off at the elementary school first, then we took Emily to the primary school. I spared them the embarrassment of taking a picture with their teacher.
Now, I'm going to pour myself a cup of coffee, and watch a little GMA!
