Friendsgiving 2015

We had Thanksgiving with our dear friends George and Gwen, along with Harrison and Imogen (Bea was out of town).  In anticipation of our tasty meal, Gwen and I sent several food-themed pictures back and forth, so it was like we were cooking together!

Thanksgiving

Juan & Carlene graciously let us join their Thanksgiving dinner!  Dinner was delicious, and we all had a fabulous time.  Daniel especially loved talking football with the big boys!

We headed to Nana's for Thanksgiving.  We arrived that afternoon, after spending a quick 12 hours at Aunt Debbie's.  Nana had a wonderful meal for us, and it was nice to have the whole family together!

Thanksgiving- November 24, 2011

We had a full house on Thanksgiving with Papa, B'dette, April, Lonnie, Gabriel, Luke, James and baby Nicholas!  The food was delicious, and it was the first Thanksgiving I have spent with my dad in a really long time.  I was taken back to my youth, waking up early to rub Crisco on the turkey, but now apparently we use olive oil!

Emily loves to scrub potatoes.  I can not explain it.

Sarah opens a birthday gift from cousin Andrea. She loves the shirt, and wears it often.

We had a lively table full of food and laughter!

Emily took this picture.  I think it is a piece of pumpkin pie under all of that whipped cream.

Thanksgiving- November 26, 2009

Last Thanksgiving, we were still at Saint Francis waiting to be sprung (thinking the day would never come!), so this was Daniel's first normal Thanksgiving! We started the day watching the May's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a personal favorite for me!

The girls enjoy the parade as much as I do, so we had a great time watching the balloons, Rockettes, floats, and bands. Somehow, the girls thought Greg and I had met at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, so we had fun sharing the real story of how we met!

After the Parade, we headed to Nana's house for Thanksgiving dinner. The menu included all of the family favorites. Kathe and I brought some side dishes, and Nana made everything else.

Sarah & Emily helped Nana set the table. They do a great job putting all of the utensils in their proper places. They even remembered to put the knives with the cutting edge toward the plate. It makes a mother proud!

The girls also made place cards for everyone, and paper cranes, Sarah's origami specialty!

After our delectable dinner, Jeff and John set up Nana's Christmas tree.

Greg kept Daniel company while he took a little nap and the girls enjoyed some time on Nana's Wii. It was a great day with family and friends!
