Birthday Celebration Day 3!

We had to have Daniel's birthday dinner (he picked Bertucci's) a day late, so after dinner, he finally got to open the rest of his presents!

Daniel Turns 7!

Daniel had a day full of special birthday fun!  We had football cupcakes in class.  Then, Mr. D, the principal, was already scheduled to come read a story to the class while Daniel's teacher did some testing with a few students.  She asked me to bring in a few books for Mr. D to read.  He let Daniel pick, so Daniel chose Hello, Cocky.  Mr. D let Daniel hold his radio (the highlight of his day, he says) while he read.  Then Mr. D read Cocky's Journey Through the Palmetto State.  After school, Declan and Daniel went out for a treat together.  It was a great day for Daniel!  

Daniel's 7th Birthday Party

Daniel had a sports themed birthday with a few buddies from school.  After the party, he enjoyed opening gifts from his friends!

Just before my game, Coach Spurrier retired.  It was a sad day, but we were victorious, as always when I am there!

Happy Birthday, Kristen!

I had an amazing birthday with my friend Patty.  She invited me to a two day scrap retreat weekend in Lancaster county.  We left bright and early Friday morning for two relaxing, kid-free days!  After dropping off our scrap supplies, we went on an adventure for these beyond delicious Amish doughnuts Patty described to me on the drive up to Pennsylvania.  We stopped by to visit with her mom, and had lunch at Shady Maple.  On Saturday, I watched my Gamecocks play while I scrapped.  Just out of the picture is a delectable doughnut and a tasty Cheerwine!  It was a day full of my favorite things!

One happy boy now that college football is back!  Seems it is time for a new "Gamecock outfit!"  The Gamecocks won their season opener to North Carolina!

Sneak-A-Peak

The three cutest first graders go meet their teachers.  All three are in different classes this year, but they have recess together!

Special Dinner

While his sisters went with Dad on a summer day trip, Daniel and Mom had a dinner of Daniel's choosing.  He picked Chinese, and we ate it in the living room . . . a rare treat!!

Get Up, It's GAMEDAY!

Daniel checks ESPN's website every morning, and learned ESPN's College GameDay was indeed coming to our city!  He and Greg had a blast, and if you saw the show, you saw Daniel!

Halloween Parade

Daniel's school has a Halloween Parade, and Sarah's marching band came to lead the parade!  Danile dressed up as a Gamecock football player, of course.

Williams-Brice Stadium

We stopped at Williams-Brice so Daniel could see where his beloved Gamecocks play.  He was tentative at first, but then really excited!
