Fifth Grade Graduation- June 7, 2012

Emily's Fifth Grade Graduation (or Promotion Ceremony, perhaps) was lovely.  She and three of her friends played a song, and everyone sang a few songs.  After the ceremony, friends hugged and said good-bye for the summer.  Well, some did. There were still a few days of school left, after all, so Emily went until the last day!

Daniel and I took a trip to North Carolina to celebrate Kate's graduation from NC State.  It was an amazing weekend, and we are so proud of our Materials Girl!

The Flying Saucer- May 10, 2012

Kate took Debbie and me to her favorite watering hole, The Flying Saucer.  While we were there, we met a Tim Gunn look-a-like who claimed to be from Australia, but we were suspicious.  He ate our chips and bought us a round of drinks, so in the end, it was a fair trade.  He attempted to guess Kate's major, which was pretty funny.  Then her fellow materials friends showed up, and he went on his merry way.  We had a fun night, but stayed up way past my bedtime!  On the wall, I found a plate from Altus, Oklahoma, so I had to snap a photo for Jeff!

Andrea Graduates! June 3, 2011

It is almost impossible to believe that Andrea is old enough to graduate from high school, but I was there.  I saw it with my own eyes.  She is an amazing niece, and a loving cousin to Sarah, Daniel & Emily.  I can't wait to see what greatness becomes of her.

After five grueling months of chaos, I was thrilled to take a much needed vacation to beautiful Colorado to see one of my favorite families!  Kailee was graduating from high school, sniff, sniff, so I had to celebrate with her.  While I was there, I was charmed by her Calculus-loving boyfriend Andy, and pampered by my beloved Patti.  Complete with Scotcheroos and Lucky Charms, I was one happy camper.  Dave even made sure I had fresh coffee in the morning, not the day old stuff he drinks!  The weekend was way too short, but we packed a lot of fun into our time together!

Patti's parents and her sister Deb made the drive from Nebraska to celebrate.  I had breakfast each morning with Mr. Marr since we were both still in earlier time zones!

Greg submitted his final assignment to Penn State! He is officially FINISHED!
