Happy Birthday, Sarah! August 8, 2011

Sarah loved the knitting needles and supplies from Grandma in Washington.
We had a quiet day celebrating Sarah's 12th birthday. She opened lots of presents from family & friends, then we had dinner at Bahama Breeze (her choice), and cake.  We decided we would celebrate a little later in the year with a trip to Hershey Park once we had settled in from our big move.
We each get to pick where we want to celebrate our birthday dinner, and Sarah picked Bahama Breeze.
We had a delicious cake for the birthday girl!

Grandpa & Grandma Visit- September 23-30, 2009

We had a week of fun with Bill (Greg's dad, just in case you can't tell from the picture!) and Mary Jo, who drove all the way from Washington state. We had a great time visiting, and everyone enjoyed Bruster's.

Our visit was extended a few days because of a dental emergency, but Dr. Huch fixed Bill up in a jiffy, and they headed to Greenwood to tour the Greenwood Genetic Center.

The pictures sum up what Emily believes to be her life experience . . . everyone having fun while she works. Let me assure you, she wanted to scrub potatoes with the scrubber Jenny had sent. I took the picture to show Jenny, especially since the recipe was from her, but it ended up being the only picture of Emily. Oh my. Those potatoes were yummy!

Go Cubs!

Silly Boy!

After we returned from our trip to Debbie's in June, I put Daniel on Grandma's blanket and her was so excited he rolled himself up into a baby burrito!

Love In a Box

Daniel is obsessed with this box that is on the living room floor. He will abandon his blanket full of toys to get it whenever he can. I leave it there for him to play with, despite his many toys.

The other day, he discovered the papers in the box, and he was a very happy camper! I think I'll start putting random toys in the box and wait for him to find them.

Who loves a Blanket?

Daniel's newest obsession is a blanket. He enjoys either a flannel receiving blanket, a sheet, or his blanket puppy (a gift from Greg's co-worker Mike). We discovered this one morning while he was in his crib waiting to be scooped up for the day. He was hugging the blanket, chewing it, and rolling around with glee. I started giving him one when he is playing on the floor, and he giggles with delight.

Grandma's Blanket

Daniel enjoys playing on the floor on his favorite blanket from Grandma in Washington.
