VBS Fun- June 18-22, 2012

Sarah and Emily were in charge of both songs and snacks at VBS at our church for about 45 kids.  They did an amazing job making about 75 snacks a day, not to mention baking dozens and dozens of cookies and cupcakes!

Meet & Greet- June 9, 2012

We had a house full of pre-teens for an evening of fun with two other families.  Greg's co-workers mentioned their rising 6th grade daughter would be transferring to our girls' school for Ingenuity, so we invited them over, along with another family whose 6th grader was going to be in Ingenuity, too.  The girls had a great time, and so did the adults!

Fifth Grade Graduation- June 7, 2012

Emily's Fifth Grade Graduation (or Promotion Ceremony, perhaps) was lovely.  She and three of her friends played a song, and everyone sang a few songs.  After the ceremony, friends hugged and said good-bye for the summer.  Well, some did. There were still a few days of school left, after all, so Emily went until the last day!

Robert! June 3, 2012

Robert had an unexpected, lengthy layover, giving us the perfect chance to catch up over a delicious lunch!

Camp FACE- June 1-3, 2012

Sarah and Emily went to Camp Face for their very first weekend camp experience.  They had a great time, despite an insane storm that left us (but not them) powerless for a little over 24 hours!

80s Day- June 1, 2012

Emily rocked a side pony and an awesome t-shirt from my collection for 80s Day!  She didn't get it, sadly.  FYI,  Huey Lewis & the News is currently on tour for those fans out there.

Measuring Day- May 30, 2012

Our first Measuring Day since the move!reg transferred all of the measurements from the old house on to our new spot at Camp Bowden.

Greg's Birthday- May 26, 2012

We celebrated Greg's birthday with some yummy Johnny Rockets and a trip to the Aquarium!

Garden- May 23, 2012

Our dear friend Michael Hill, from whom we bought our house, came over to plant a garden with Sarah and Emily.  They planted tomatoes, squash and cucumbers.  Michael had been in a pretty serious bike accident that morning, but he pushed through the pain to come spend time with us!

Singing & Dancing- May 14, 2012

Emily's after school Dance Club performed their Insect Swing at Sarah's Glee Club and Jazz Concert.

Trills & Thrills- May 18, 2012

Sarah had a fun day at the Trills & Thrills Music Festival at Six Flags with both the Jazz band and Glee Club.  Both groups brought home Superior ratings, and had a blast at Six Flags!
